Things are really taking
off with the Waterloo Uncovered Project.
You really should have a look at the Facebook page and give them some
extra “likes”.
One of the aims of this years’ excavations is to make the most of social media and online publication to get the results, news and developments to as wide an audience as possible during the excavation – so that dissemination of data is not held up by ‘publication’. So the Facebook page is a good place to keep up with the news.
You might also be interested in the Sean Bean clips – he is talking to Major Charlie Foinette in the first one about Waterloo and how life might have been for some of those fighting to survive the battle
Oh and don't forget the Somerset House lecture tomorrow evening.
Then there is the evaluation report which is certainly worth a read. Click here to see it.
Personally, I can’t wait
to get out there to see it all first-hand.
I hear that the great
Phil Harding who is one of the Patrons of the Defence Archaeology Group is also
going to be there! It will be great to
hear his views.
Finally, there is the
donation page. It is hoped that funding
will cover the expenses of all essential personnel during the excavation season
– but inevitably money is tight and every extra penny will be put to good use! Click here to donate
