A classic 1920s Bentley found scattered in pieces throughout the home of its former owner has been re-built by experts.
The parts of the 1928 Bentley had
been concealed under beds, in oil-filled glass jars and under a tarpaulin
in a west London home. It appears that to
save on maintenance and storage costs it had been dismantled.
According to the man’s
daughter, “My dad was always messing around with cars and storing old parts and
spares everywhere. He kept a dismantled
AC Cobra in my bedroom. He was crazy about cars.”
Not one new nut or bolt
has been used, with just a handful of non-original wooden supports added to
strengthen the chassis.
